The recent declaration by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and subsequent ruling by the Supreme Court regarding the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) data has stirred a significant discourse. This article delves into the implications of the released data, the Supreme Court’s stance, and a detailed analysis of the performance across various centers, particularly focusing on the emerging coaching hub of Sikar.

Supreme Court’s Ruling on NTA Data

On a recent morning, the NTA released city-wise and center-wise data concerning NEET results, which our team has meticulously analyzed. Despite NTA’s protest against the disclosure of students’ names and personal details, the Supreme Court overruled their objections. The court’s decision implies that this information is not confidential since it is typically revealed during state counseling rounds. The data is now publicly available for scrutiny.

Overall Performance Analysis

The data encompasses the performance of over 23,33,000 students in the NEET exam. To illustrate, 2,300 students scored above 700 marks, around 3,000 students scored above 650 marks, and approximately 8,150 students scored above 600 marks. This distribution of scores indicates the likelihood of these students securing seats in All India Institutes and public medical institutions.

Comparison with Kota

Kota, another major coaching hub, had 27,118 students appearing for the exam. Only 74 students scored above 700 marks, and 1,066 students scored above 650 marks. The percentages in Kota were notably lower compared to Sikar, further highlighting Sikar’s exceptional performance. In comparison, Sikar, has 7.48%  at 650+ and 16% at 600+.
